Liz Doupnik is a freelance journalist who covers lifestyle, fashion and culture whose work has been published in W, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, Well & Good, and others. Previously, Doupnik served as the digital executive editor at SHAPE. Prior to that she was a deputy editor at WWD and has worked as a fashion editor for StyleCaster and Seventeen. She’s assisted a range of stylists including Christian Stroble, Brandon Maxwell, and Laura Ferrara. She got her start covering youth trends for fashion forecasting company, WGSN.
Doupnik graduated from College of Charleston with a B.A. in Communications in 2007. She completed the certificate program in Fashion Studies at Parsons School for Design in 2010. She previously belonged to the CFDA Fashion Awards Guild and was a 2018 Folio Award finalist for the work her team at SHAPE produced.
When she’s not in the middle of a deep scroll (or on a deadline), she’s usually busy running, reading, or nurturing her monthly books newsletter, Gasoline Books. A vintage enthusiast, Doupnik loves to unearth passed-over treasures, from novels to t-shirts and anything in between. A pop culture fanatic, Doupnik loves to indulge in reality T.V., belt out old country ballads, and rewatch classic horror films.
