Here's How Gigi Hadid Makes A Sweatshirt Look High-Fashion

A hoodie might not be the first thing you reach for in your day-to-day outfit planning, but Gigi Hadid's tie-dye sweatshirt ensemble might convince you to do just that. That's right, the model's latest look proves the more casual-leaning loungewear staple can actually look incredibly cool — it all depends on how you style it. And the newly turned 24-year-old may have just found the most foolproof way to do so.

It's no secret Hadid loves a good denim moment — so much so that she threw an all-denim 24th birthday party on April 22. But the model's actual birthday was on Tues., and it's clear she kept the jean theme going for a more low-key celebration with her family.

On April 23, Hadid was photographed in Manhattan, wearing what may be her most laid-back (albeit coolest) off-duty look of the month. She rocked light-wash, '80s-inspired jeans from Sandro — which were designed with a reconstructed waist and thick side seams, and are still in stock — a pair of lace-up Dr. Martens, and last but certainly not least, a Rolling Stones tie-dye hoodie.

There are two main takeaways from Hadid's birthday getup. First, the model loves a good tie-dye print — she's worn the swirly pattern more than a handful of times in 2019, and it's very likely it will continue to turn up in more of her street-style looks. And second, that cozy hoodie you typically reserve for your loungewear outfits can (and should) be worked into your daytime uniform right away.

Simply pair a sweatshirt with more elevated pieces, like jeans à la Hadid, a silky slip skirt, or, if you feel like mixing patterns, a floral-print maxi dress. You can even wear the hoodie with sweatpants, too, dressing it up with your accessories instead.

Though Hadid's exact hoodie isn't available for purchase right now, there's a bevy of similar styles available at top retailers. Ahead, shop The Zoe Report's favorite tie-dye sweatshirts on the market.
