Hollywood's most stylish flocked to Will Rogers State Historic Park for the event of the weekend: The annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic gathering, which rang in its 10-year anniversary on Sat. And as per usual, the fancy soirée boasted an impressive (and practically endless) guest list of some of the industry's biggest names, all of whom were dressed to the nines in their quirky, fun, and perfectly preppy getups. Plenty showed up in cheerful, elegant ensembles that were a final hurrah to summer style, but there was something about Busy Philipps' Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic look, specifically, that felt so on-point for fall 2019 — and it was all about her footwear of choice.

The ensembles that debut on the vast greenery of Will Rogers State Historic Park are utterly mood boosting — and that's because the wardrobe staples donned by the attendees are colorful and cheerful in all the best ways. Take, for example, Mandy Moore's Polo Classic outfit, which was, in short, a sunshine-y dream. Julia Roberts didn't opt for a bright hue, but she did land on a poppy print (aka, polka-dots) that felt so Pretty Woman circa the '90s.

Ultimately, though, it was Philipps' monochromatic pink look that proved to be one of the most talked-about of the fancy weekend gathering. Everything from her dress to her quirky accessories of choice is definitely worth of mention.

The actor stunned in a pink floral-print mini dress from The Vampire's Wife — a brand known for churning out quirky, retro-inspired frocks that are (unsurprisingly) widely-beloved among the celeb set. Philipps' mini features romantic ruffle detailing, gathered shoulders, and waist-tie for a form-fitting touch.

The 40-year-old ensured she was protected from the sun's harsh rays by throwing in a straw hat, complete with a pink grosgrain ribbon, and a pair of Jimmy Choo sunglasses. Considering the annual polo match takes place on a lawn, sensible footwear is a must, with Philipps' black-and-white The Office of Angela Scott loafers serving as a smart and trend-forward option.

The flat menswear-inspired shoe has been gaining some serious ground in the fashion world this season, with the likes of Charlize Theron, Amber Heard, and more dishing out their own take on the ever-rising footwear craze. Philipps is the latest to rock the practical footwear trend, and if the past is any indication, plenty more celebs will follow suit in the coming weeks.

Need a lesson in working the sensible slipper into your fall outfit? Philipps just demonstrated it with utter ease, too. Simply add in a pair of socks because, yes, this particular sock-with-shoe combo is must-try.

Ahead, The Zoe Report's favorite loafers, including Philipps' exact pair.
