Your wardrobe isn't the only thing that you should start revving up for the cold-weather season. Your beauty shelf — aka, your makeup, hair products, and nail polish collection, for example — are all as equally deserving of a bit of fall time TLC. Graphic liner, which took over Paris Fashion Week, is poised to be everywhere next month; the wet-hair look, which is every lazy girl's dream come true, is the low-maintenance style you should probably get on board with ASAP; and a green manicure, just like the one Busy Philipps sported in her latest photoshoot, is, without a doubt, the most unexpected (albeit welcomed) nail trend for fall 2019.

Philipps is about as real as it gets — and she's going to stick with that MO for the foreseeable future. In a recent interview for Bustle's annual Rule Breaker's issue, the actor opens up about a lot, sharing everything from why she keeps it, well, seriously unfiltered on her Instagram to her experience testifying in front of Congress (hint: nerve-wracking).

She's a rule breaker through and through — which is also why you shouldn't expect to see Philipps take a simple or boring route with her fashion and beauty approach. Case in point: Her recent Bustle photoshoot, where her fun, pastel-pink hair pops against the cobalt-blue backdrop and her bright-green nails introduce next season's biggest color trend. Think both beauty fads are too much together? Think again.

That's right, the widely debated about hue that is slime green isn't going anywhere — though it has sort of assumed a new name for fall. Pistachio, which can range anywhere from a soft, muted sage shade to an in-your-face sour-apple green, was all over the Fall/Winter 2019 runways, with the likes of Jil Sander, Sally LaPointe, Marc Jacobs, and more churning out their own takes on the rising color craze.

But, if you're not ready to fully commit to head-to-toe pistachio, Philipps' take is an easy, low-effort way sport the hue. Simply swipe a coat (or two) of a green lacquer over your nails, depending on how intense you want the color to be, and you'll have the perfect burst of color — every time.
