An easy way to take any look from basic to breathtaking is with your accessories. Whether it's a pair of pearl-embellished earrings, a lucite clutch, or eye-catching pumps, small but mighty wardrobe essentials hold serious styling power. Want to jazz up a classic LBD in mere seconds, for example? Look no further than Mandy Moore's feather-adorned heels — a bold footwear pick that's sure to be a success, every time.

After ending March on a high note — the This Is Us actor officially received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 25 — Moore headed off on a weekend girl's trip for some much-needed down time. But now she's back on the Hollywood grind — and that means the striking red-carpet looks are flooding in once again.

On April 2, Moore stepped out for a cocktail party hosted at Hotel Vivier in Los Angeles. For the star-studded outing, she opted for all-over glamour, donning a black, gold-specked midi dress by Vienna-based designer Petar Petrov. The actor's frock featured a high neckline, long sleeves, and an asymmetric skirt — a hemline Moore has been playing favorites with all season long.

The unique hemline showed off the most eye-catching element in Moore's look: feather-embellished Roger Vivier pumps, dubbed the Maharaja sandals, that channeled Old Hollywood glamour to a T. Boasting a sleek satin upper, Swarovski crystal appliqués on the front, and airy black feathers, the actor's black heels are inherently elegant yet playful, too.

Moore isn't the only notable name to don the brand's popular Maharaja sandal. Back in Dec. Nicole Kidman wore the same pumps with a sleek black LBD for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Feathered pieces of all kind have taken the fashion world by storm. Brands like Staud, Dries Van Noten, Miu Miu, and Prada have added the airy, exuberant element onto everything from dresses and skirts to bag handles and shoes.

For a slightly more understated approach to this bold, '20s-inspired trend, consider working feather-adorned accessories, like Moore's pumps, into your look. Ahead, The Zoe Report's favorites to experiment with this season.
