Sure, it may be near impossible for just anyone to get their hands on the gorgeous designer gowns gracing the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet Sept. 22. However, the best 2019 Emmys beauty looks are much more achievable — giving you yet another reason to pay close attention to this year's award show. Especially when you consider the beauty products that found their way onto the red carpet at last year's Emmys; while certainly not all drugstore scores (Pat McGrath Labs' Mothership V: Bronze Seduction palette made an appearance more than once), 2018's event showcased an impressively wide and accessible range, from Chanel to COVERGIRL to Morphe.

That said, you may want to consider the Emmys beauty looks simply as a starting point. Undoubtedly it's the place where trends are born — or fuel is poured onto the fire. After all, how could you not be inspired, when the actors from Pose, Game of Thrones, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are all in one place?

So, it comes as no surprise that this year's show brought the heat in the beauty department. For starters, This Is Us' Eris Baker nearly stole the show with her shimmering makeup (that channeled that of the Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2020 runway in Milan) and jeweled headpiece. Also a favorite of the evening was Dascha Polanco who paired her pink off-the-shoulder gown with a retro high pony and chic cat eye.

So, regardless if you use the Emmys beauty looks to find your new favorite products or scout out colors and trends for the upcoming season, continue scrolling down. Some of the most memorable makeup looks from the 2019 award show are below.

Sutherland balanced the soft pink of her gown with a dramatic, wine-colored lip (that just so happened to subtly match her necklace).

Indya Moore

The Pose actor's beauty look may've been relatively low-key, but its impact definitely wasn't — proving that the dewy skin trend is here to stay.

Jameela Jamil

Jameela Jamil's bright coral lipstick provided a beautiful pop of color against the actor's stunning pistachio gown.

Laverne Cox

All eyes were on Moore's dress as she took the red carpet, and her classic beauty look was the perfect complement.

The Euphoria actor paired her stunning green corset dress with an even more stunning beauty look. And though her simple makeup was undeniably beautiful, her hair was the real star of her look — the red shade was the perfect contrast agains her gown, and the curls gave it over-the-top glam.

Rachel Brosnahan

Brosnahan's makeup artist, Lisa Aharon, didn't hold back with color for this awards show, and it seriously worked. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actor stunned in a blue sequined gown and eyeshadow to match, paired with glowing skin and an understated lip to finish the look.

Carice van Houten

Which lip color do you opt for when your dress features, well, almost every single shade? This eternal question was effectively answered by Carice van Houten: a classic red lip.

Lilly Singh

Yes, Singh's long lashes and sharp brows are good. Really good. But her bangs stole the show: They're the perfectly disheveled, artsy bangs that beauty fans everywhere perennially strive to achieve.
