Khera Alexander is a makeup artist and beauty writer from Toronto, Canada. She first fell in love with beauty as a young dancer, learning how to do her makeup herself for competitions. As an avid book and magazine reader, she also became interested in the idea of telling a compelling story.
Working as a makeup artist for the past 10 years, Khera has worked in the commercial and bridal space and is most passionate about doing makeup on underrepresented skin tones. While doing makeup full-time, she earned her B.A. in Communications and Media Studies from York University. Today, Khera works as an artist, editor, and is a contributor for Byrdie and TZR.
When she’s not working or researching new products to add to her kit, you can find Khera plant shopping, discovering new restaurants, and watching old episodes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
