A few days ahead of the release of Big Little Lies Season 2, Zoë Kravitz has been booked and busy. The 30-year-old actor graced the cover of the July issue of British Vogue on Tues., revealing details around growing up as the child of Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz. Based on her inimitable street style, the Brooklyn-based actor is following in her iconic parents' footsteps quite effortlessly. After dropping by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Weds., Zoe Kravitz's summer style was on full display, and the LA-born cool girl chose an unexpected color combo that meshed surprisingly well.

Staying cozy in an oversized sky blue sweatshirt, Kravitz opted for a daring pair of lime green pants, more lightweight than the eye-catching style she wore last month. As usual, Kravitz managed to pull off the unlikely color story remarkably, and topped off the laid-back look with rectangular sunglasses, a snakeskin handbag, and notably conservative kitten heel pumps.

As she drifted out of the New York City studio with her signature micro braids cascading down her back, Kravitz promptly signaled the green light for experimental color blocking this spring.

Polka dots, tie-dye, and mixed prints all fall into the maximalist trend forecast for the months ahead, but this exuberant look is demonstrating the power of fusing unexpected hues. While opting for unconventional color pairings, Kravitz kept her pieces solid, making a statement while avoiding sensory overload, and the roomy sweatshirt offset the sheer pants excellently. The Zoe Report sourced similar pieces to pull off the look, so shop three Kravitz-inspired outfits to channel her distinctive style, ahead.
