Just about every celebrity has been trading longer locks for bobs this spring — and with good reason. The haircut is super easy to manage and it's more lightweight, too, deeming it the ultimate summer-friendly style perfect for those hot, humid days. Though short seems to be the length of choice this season, Priyanka Chopra's 2019 Billboard Music Awards hair was quite the opposite. The actor showed up with extra-long tresses that will convince you add a pair of extension to your beauty lineup ASAP.
On Wed., Chopra walked the BMA red carpet alongside Nick Jonas — and though the annual music event is known to turn out some of the most over-the-top beauty and fashion looks of all, the Isn't It Romantic actor took a decidedly more sophisticated route.
Chopra was a vision in white in a sequin-embellished dress from Zuhair Murad's Spring 2019 couture collection. The long-sleeve gown featured a plunging neckline and a daring front slit, which put her Yeezy PVC pumps on full display. She rounded out her evening look with a small, white waist belt, Tiffany & Co. jewels, glittery purple lids, and the longest, sleekest hair you ever did see.
Chopra's belly-grazing tresses were courtesy of celebrity hairstylist, Renato Campora, who used a handful of styling tools to achieve a soft, subtle wave — and, of course, a set of extensions for length. According a press release, Campora started by combing the actor's hair into a deep side part, blow drying section by section to build up volume.
After, Campora reached for the Ghd Platinum+ Festival Collection Styler to smooth out the roots, before going through with a curling iron. The final (and possibly most vital) step? Let the freshly curled hair sit for five to 10 minutes, only then brushing out the waves to get a soft, subtle bend.
This isn't the first time Chopra has debuted an extra-long hair transformation — and on a red carpet nonetheless. Back in Oct. 2018, she showed up at JBL Fest in Las Vegas with waist-length extensions that were oh-so-glamorous (and 100 percent Cher-approved).
Though many celebs are chopping off major inches right now — including Brie Larson, Natalie Portman, and Naomi Watts — Chopra makes a strong case for adding a few more. You can emulate the actor's BMA hair by scooping up a pair of extensions, plus the expert-approved styling tools, below.
