All the French girl style coming out of Paris Fashion Week is enough to make you want to book a ticket immediately. The latest to nail a quintessential Parisian outfit at the annual couture extravaganza is Margot Robbie. Her polka-dotted beret is the hair accessory you didn't know you needed.
The actor actually hails from Australia, but on Tues., she looked like a bonafide European. The birthday girl radiated old-school Chanel vibes (fitting, seeing as she's a Chanel ambassador and had just come from Chanel's show) in a fuzzy white cardigan with jeweled statement buttons and high-waisted black leather shorts by Saint Laurent.
Robbie sported a wide Chanel belt over her waistband and strapped into Gianvito Rossi's Portofino sandal heels in black. Her retro-glam look was made even better by a pair of cat-eye sunglasses and a silk polka-dotted beret you never would have thought to wear (until now).
During Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, every celebrity and fashion girl seems to be gathering inspiration from their surroundings. Zendaya, Celine Dion, Nicole Kidman, and Nikki Reed are just a few of the ones who have adhered to the Parisian-chic motif with sleek black-and-white ensembles that French woman would have worn in the olden days.
Robbie even went as far as sporting the ultimate French girl accessory. The beret made a comeback in 2018, courtesy of Instagram influencers and fashion girls like Olivia Culpo and Bella Hadid. Now, it's quickly becoming the must-have summer hair accessory.
Robbie's version is from French atelier Maison Michel and it's made from silk with an embroidered white dot pattern. Try wearing it with a very Parisian black-and-white ensemble like the actor's or work it into your weekend wardrobe by pairing it with a basic tube top and jeans, Hadid-style.
Any way you wear it, a beret is your must-have summer hat this season. Robbie's (which is 50 percent off) and other alternatives, ahead.
