Karlie Kloss Just Made The Tie-Dye Trend Look So Elevated

Even the most polarizing of trends from decades past tend to experience some sort of fashion renaissance. Fanny packs are officially back and better than ever, '80s neon is the color that can't be beat this season, and tie-dye — the psychedelic pattern you likely DIY'd in high school — has found its way into some of the most covetable street-style looks. Prepare to be inspired to reach for that printed tee that's been hiding in your closet for years, because Karlie Kloss' tie-dye shirt is officially the 2019 way to wear the trend.

Like many other celebs, Kloss touched down in France to attend the last leg of fashion month (aka, Paris Fashion Week), and so far, her street-style getups have been seriously on point. On Mon., the model attended the launch of Evian x Virgil Abloh’s limited-edition collection, and on Tues. she took to her Instagram Stories to document her unexpected, albeit epic, evening look.

For the Feb. 25 launch party, Kloss went full '80s chic in a pair of high-waisted trousers and a coordinating bold-shouldered blazer. And while suits are nothing new in the world of celeb fashion (everyone from Olivia Munn to Emma Watson has sported matching sets), Kloss put a fresh, fun spin on the pairing by throwing in a pastel-colored tie-dye shirt.

Kloss pulled her hair back into an easygoing updo and kept it equally effortless with her makeup — her signature bold brows, dewy complexion, and a muted-red pout were the perfect complement to her retro-leaning ensemble.

Although tie-dye is certainly amongst the most polarizing of patterns out there, Kloss just made a strong case for working it into your outfits this season. As she demonstrates so easily, the print can be elevated, too — it just depends on what you wear it with.

If you want to test out the print, but prefer to skip a tie-dye DIY session at home, you'll be happy to know the market is chock-full of so many great options. Ahead, shop The Zoe Report's roundup of suit-and-tie-dye shirt combos you'll actually want to wear.
