Karlie Kloss Tried Out The Combat Boot Trend In A Super-Unexpected Color

Karlie Kloss just set the boot bar high with a pair of pastel Dr. Martens. Before stepping onto the runway on Weds., she kept her look low-key with jeans and a black tee, but her footwear of choice sure did add a punch. Karlie Kloss' lavender combat boots are the pop of color your shoe collection needs.

On the last day of New York Fashion Week, the model joined the likes of Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber on the catwalk at Marc Jacobs' 2019 Fall Ready-to-Wear show. She ended the week with a bang in a bold cape-style coat and wore a feather-clad hat, but her outfit before and after the event wasn't nearly as dramatic.

Her off-duty look consisted of a basic black tee tucked into loose-fitting jeans — two things that are already hanging in your closet. She kept warm with a menswear-inspired black wool coat and rolled up the cuffs of her denim to reveal a pair of combat boots like you've never seen before.

Even before she hit the runway, she was modeling Marc Jacobs with these lavender-hued shoes. The designer collaborated with the legendary Dr. Martens to bring this one-of-a-kind pastel boot to the Resort 2018 collection.

A feminine take on the notoriously grungy footwear trend, the boot is actually a reissue of a shoe from the designer's Spring 1993 collection. It hits above the ankle and features that classic chunky sole in typical Dr. Martens style. The lace-ups have a glossy pale purple finish that Kloss let shine against her otherwise simple outfit.

Combat boots are having a major moment, thanks to boot-obsessed Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner, and Gigi Hadid. Speaking of Hadid, the model wore these exact lavender shoes in Jan. with a pair of cozy blue trackpants.
