Diptyque’s 2019 Version Of The Essences Insenées Fragrance Is Here & It’s Got Major Island Vibes

Diptyque

Everyone knows the power of a really great perfume; a spritz or two onto skin has the ability to make you believe you're somewhere else. That can be an especially important part of your beauty routine during summertime, when you'd imagine yourself to be somewhere exotic and tropical but you may instead be firmly planted inside your office. So if you're in need of a scent-based escape, look no further than diptyque's Essences Insensées Tiare Flower fragrance. It inspires visions of an island vacation in the most glamorous way possible — so you can soak up summer no matter where you are.

If you're a fan of diptyque, you know there's no brand that does beautiful, luxe fragrances better. Its line of deliciously scented (and stylishly decorative) candles is second to none and spotted on Instagram grids all over, and its range of equally decadent eau de parfums is equally as celebrated. But if there's an offering from the brand that stands out from the rest, it's diptyque's Essences Insensées collection which only comes out with one fragrance per year. And this year's is stunning.

Diptyque's Essences Insensées Tiare Flower Eau de Parfum, $250, is the brand's 2019 installment of the cult-loved line, that just landed in diptyque boutiques. The luxe, limited-edition fragrance is made in very exclusive quantities (past years' have sold out fast, and aren't re-stocked), and is dedicated to one exceptional bloom from each year's flower harvest. This year's scent, in turn, celebrates the Tahitian Tiare flower.

The light scent, which is perfectly summery and evokes sun-soaked days spent somewhere tropical, combines the Tahitian floral with frangipani, vanilla absolute, and pink peppercorn. It's like spritzing on the feeling of stepping out at a five-star resort, surrounded by fresh blooms, a soft breeze, and ocean views. It's uncomplicated, sophisticated, and sweet — just like a summer vacation should be.

Just like the rest of the Essences Insensées fragrances, which were first introduced in 2014, the Essences Insensées Tiare Flower comes in an over-the-top beautiful bottle that's unlike all the rest of diptyque's fragrance packaging. It's a delicate glass vessel with a solar-shaped design from French glass maker Waltersperger's archives, complete with a glamorous atomizer for a fine mist spritz each time. The bottle alone is enough to make your vanity look like you're somewhere much more special.
