Winnie Harlow Proves This Throwback Style Is Easier To Wear Than You’d Think

Assembling an outfit that combines sophistication with a healthy dose of sartorial edge can be a daunting task, especially if you're fresh out of ideas. The easiest way to find new trends worth experimenting with? Celebrity street style. Winnie Harlow's chain link pants are the latest model-approved piece to add to your wardrobe (and they're way easier to style than you'd think).

Harlow was photographed in New York City on Weds. evening as she walked into the highly anticipated Moschino x HM fashion show alongside other A-list models like Bella and Gigi Hadid, Taylor Hill, and Naomi Campbell. The newly appointed Victoria's Secret model wore high-waisted black cargo pants with a chain link belt, designed by the ultra-trendy label, I.AM.GIA.

Harlow paired the utility-inspired bottoms with a cropped hoodie, and she pushed up the tight ankles of the pants to show off her lace-up booties. She slung a small, cube-shaped MCM bag on her shoulder and hid her face from paparazzi in extra-large sunglasses. The 24-year-old kept it super casual on her way to work by pulling her hair into a low ponytail.

Harlow isn't the only celebrity to experiment with the throwback trend. Lady Gaga wore Miaou's iconic pinstripe pants in A Star Is Born, and both Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez have added '90s-inspired chain belts to their closets.

While Harlow opted for a casual version of the chain link pants look, that doesn't mean that you can't dress up the style for a more formal occasion. Add some edge to your work ensemble by pairing the pants with a silky button-down, a tailored blazer, and classic suede pumps. If you're heading to date night or dinner with friends, team the pants with your favorite cropped turtleneck sweater and patent leather ankle boots.
