Like clockwork, Apple starts (not so) subtly dropping hints around this time of year that its highly anticipated annual announcement is merely days away. As the countdown begins, there's quite a bit of buzz around what to expect and whether or not the tech company will be able to top the last product release. Needless to say, the 2019 Apple iPhone Event on Sept. 10, did not disappoint — introducing consumers to the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is a new line of devices made with highly advanced technical performance for a smoother user experience.
Some of these newer features include a Super Retina XDR display, which deliver the brightest iPhone to date, powerful in-house A13 Bionic chips enabling users to complete tasks quicker and more effectively, in addition to what Apple described in a write-up as an "unprecedented leap in battery life." Plus, there were very significant changes made to the iPhone's beloved camera — found in the Pro and Pro Max— which will now feature a triple-lensed system that offers a professional-level experience with an Ultra-Wide, Wide, and Telephoto shot (all of which are made to provide the highest-quality video in a smartphone).
Designed in the same sleek silhouette you've come to know and love, the iPhone 11 comes in a slew of colors, while both the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, will be available in four different finishes: midnight-green, space gray, silver, and gold.
The question is, what does this mean for you? Quite a bit actually. With this new and improved camera system comes the ability to enhance low-lighting photography — meaning, gone are the days of searching high and low for that perfect golden-hour glow. This results in a more streamlined Instagram feed and better images overall.
With the launch of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, in particular, users can look forward to a new standard of video. Each camera in the triple-system design records 4K video with an extended, more dynamic range, and cinematic-like stabilization. So when you're trying to get that perfect action shot for your Stories, you'll be able to record a wider field of view and a larger focal plane.
"iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are the most powerful and advanced smartphones we have ever made", said Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing in a press release. "iPhone 11 Pro has the first triple-camera system in iPhone and is far and away the best camera we’ve ever made, it provides our customers with great range of creative control and advanced photo and video editing features in iOS 13."
For the woman that's on the go, expect a much longer battery life that will last you all day (no more frantically running from appointment to appointment trying to keep your device juiced). And once you finally get to where you're going? The durability of its newest design is reflected in its water-resistant exterior, protecting you from accidental spills of rosé at dinner or a slip of the wrist as you try to get that beach content you and your followers so desperately crave.
With all of the iPhone's new offerings, it's likely you'll want to grab yours before the rest of the world — in which case, you can pre-order any three of these models on Friday, Sept. 13. They'll be available in stores the following Friday, Sept. 20.
