This Sophie Turner-Approved Chunky Sneaker Is Proof That 'Dad Shoes' Aren't Going Anywhere

Sunny weather in New York this past weekend made for the perfect opportunity to break out your best pair of "dad shoes." This Game of Thrones actor certainly didn't hesitate to sport her new favorite version for the third time in just over a week. Sophie Turner's latest shoe obsession is the chunky sneaker inspiration you need for off-duty dressing this spring.

She and husband Joe Jonas were spotted wearing the quintessential casual Saturday outfits while out walking their dogs around Manhattan over the weekend. While Jonas opted for a graphic tee and printed red shorts, Turner worked the bike shorts trend with an oversized plaid shirt knotted in the front.

Her white socks added extra "dad" flair to her new favorite sneakers: a pair of bulky platforms by Naked Wolfe. The 23-year-old Brit has been living in these $250 track shoes lately, initially debuting them with a bubblegum-pink sweatsuit on May 5.

Just days later, she dressed them up for an evening out with Jonas at The Polo Bar, pairing them with striped athletic socks and an oversized white long-sleeved button-down that she so daringly turned into a dress.

So yes, sneakers apparently pass the date-night dress code if you're playing by Turner's rules.

Though the actor's trainers of choice are designed after the classic track shoe, she probably won't be running in them, considering the three-inch platform heel. The trend-forward sneaks feature allover mesh and leather paneling and are neutral enough to go with pretty much anything (Turner's latest looks are proof).

For a girl who loves a luxury sneaker — we're looking at those $1,000 Louis Vuitton LV Archlights, specifically — her stamp of approval on this fairly affordable shoe is some high-value intel for your own spring sneaker game.

Turner's new wear-everywhere footwear, along with a few of The Zoe Report's favorite similar pairs, ahead.
