Cozy season is here, and with it, comes the much-talked-about (er, over-talked-about) arrival of sweater weather — it's nearly impossible to read a fashion publication these days without seeing some sort of reference to the snug knit's seasonal importance. It's a piece that's about as essential to autumn as snow boots are to winter — and if you're still in search of the perfect sweater, Sienna Miller's black iteration might just be The One. It's classic, warm, and probably one of the most versatile options out there — in other words, there's no reason not to add it to your lineup right this second.

Miller has officially landed back in the Big Apple after attending Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney's lavish Rhode Island wedding. The American Woman actor proved she's got some serious skill in piecing together a standout wedding-guest outfit, reaching for a gorgeous red, puff-sleeved Johanna Ortiz maxi dress that set the sartorial world ablaze.

Now, Miller has returned to her casual-chic off-duty ways — until she gets her next wedding invitation, that is — and she's already managed to churn out a street-style look that'll always serve you well when you're straight out of outfit ideas this season: jeans, a black sweater, and black ballet flats. It doesn't get any more simple (or any chicer) than that.

Miller was photographed out and about in NYC on Oct. 22, wearing light-wash jeans with a cool hem, black ballet flats, and a cozy knit that she scooped up from Apiece Apart that has so much going for it.

It's minimal in the best way, crafted from a soft and super-warm cotton-cashmere blend, and has that coveted boxy silhouette you've been seeing a lot more of as of late. To top it all of, the sleeves have a slight puff that adds the right amount of feminine flair.

It's like the fall-time version of an LBD (aka, a LBS or little black sweater), and as such, it's sure to get some serious milage. Wear it with light-wash jeans, a slip skirt, or black skinnies — the options are practically endless.

Ahead, scoop up Miller's exact Apiece Apart knit, plus more of The Zoe Report's favorite little black sweaters, ringing in at various price points.
