Shay Mitchell Can’t Stop Wearing These Pair-With-Everything Sandals

Everyone loves the convenience of an outfit you can simply, well, slip into, like an easy, breezy dress, a flowy maxi skirt, or a comfy romper — talk about a time-friendly look, right? Well, the same can be said about shoes. When you have mere minutes to get up and out in the door in the mornings, the last thing you want to do is spend five-plus minutes buckling (or lacing) up a pair shoes. Slip-on-and-go is the only feasible footwear option at that point, which is exactly what's so appealing about Shay Mitchell's black summer sandals.

Summer 2019 has been the season of some seriously great maternity looks. Blake Lively, who's known to stay fairly under-the-radar, was spotted out and about in New York City a handful of times this year, with her kids, husband, and growing baby bump in tow. Ashley Graham — who just announced on Aug. 14 that she was expecting — gave a glimpse at what's to come in terms of her pregnancy attire in her reveal video (hint: it's going to be good).

And last but certainly not least is Mitchell. The Pretty Little Liars actor has had plenty of exceptional maternity-style sightings since she made known at the end of June 2019 that she was pregnant with her first child. So far, she's dressed up her bump with the most perfect LWD, cool swimsuit coverups, bike shorts, and lots of gorgeous maxi-length frocks.

When it comes to her footwear of choice, though, there isn't quite as much variation — and that's because comfort is key for Mitchell (aka, sneakers and a particular pair of black slides she got from Reformation are her favorites right now).

On Aug. 16, Mitchell was photographed en route to the nail salon, wearing a breezy white maxi dress from A Pea in a Pod x Splendid (which is currently on sale, by the way!). The frock features a V-neck and a trendy smocked waist and is rendered in a lightweight rayon, making it an ideal pick for the dog days of summer.

For the casual outing, the actor slipped into the most perfect pair-with-everything sandals of summer 2019. The black slides, designed with two straps across the front, hail from L.A.-based Reformation and are nearly sold out, though there are a handful of sizes still available.

Amidst all the "ugly" shoe trends reigning supreme this season (looking at you, chunky hiking sandals and flip-flop heels), Mitchell's are decidedly more toned-down, but that's what makes them so covetable — and that's exactly why she's been seen wearing them countless times this season.
