It's hard to argue against the fact that there are a handful of fabrics that just seem to be a bit more wearable during the warm-weather months. Linen is a great option for beating the heat, as it's quite lightweight and super airy, as is a cotton, rayon, or viscose blend piece. Materials you most tend to stay away from during the summer? Tweed — but Queen Letizia's Zara dress might just convince you to sport a woven frock this season, even when the temperatures reach the upper 70's.

Royal fans were in for a major dose of sartorial inspiration on Tues., when Her Majesty stepped out to greet visitors at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. As per usual, the Queen was all smiles and looked exquisitely elegant for the occasion in a blue-and-white tweed dress, which actually hails from your all-time favorite affordable retailer, Zara.

That's right, this royal, who's quite keen to wallet-friendly fashion, has done it yet again, proving great style can be achieved, even on a tight budget. This time around, though, Letizia may have outdone herself, sporting a piece that rings in at just $30 (it's currently on sale, but originally retails for $90), making it one of the most affordable pieces in her wardrobe yet.

Letizia made the dress her own by adding in a thin black belt to accentuate the waist and a pair of navy-blue slingback pumps that were perfect for the summer season. She forwent a necklace (letting the off-the-shoulder silhouette shine), but she did add in a pair of drop earrings that ever-so-slightly peeked out from underneath her bouncy waves.

Her Majesty isn't the only one to jump aboard the tweed train this summer — one of the most unexpected trends to hit the fashion scene. Everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Sienna Miller has been sporting their own take on the sophisticated closet classic, and many more are bound to follow suit.

Ahead, shop the Queen's exact Zara dress while it's still in stock (pro tip: which probably won't be much longer), plus more of The Zoe Report's favorite warm weather-friendly tweed pieces on the market. See everything, below.
