There's no denying it: Kate Middleton is a pro at summer style, and she's bound to teach you a lesson or two about making warm-weather dressing easy, chic, and wallet-friendly. Yes, an outfit that hits on all three elements does exist, and the duchess just stepped out wearing it. Grab your notepad and pencil, and prepare to jot down every detail of Middleton's green summer dress outfit — it's that marvelous.

The Duchess of Cambridge has attended her fair share gatherings that call for cocktail or black-tie attire, so it should come as no surprise that she's long mastered the art of formal dressing. But Middleton is also no stranger to a more laid-back outing, which calls for an equally down-to-earth outfit that's a bit easier to work into your own day-to-day.

Such was the case on Mon., when the royal returned to her Back to Nature-themed garden, but this time at a new location. According to People, the duchess' latest initiative — one that hopes to "inspire children, families, and communities to get outside and enjoy the huge benefits that nature has on our physical and mental wellbeing" — moved to a new location just six weeks after its May 2 debut at the Chelsea Flower Show, officially opening on July 1 at the Hampton Court Palace’s Garden Festival.

Middleton opted for a quintessential warm-weather look for the outdoorsy occasion. She wore a mid-length dress from French brand Sandro that had summertime fun written all over it. The royalty-approved frock featured a bold, colorful square-meets-floral print that was a first for the duchess, a V-neckline, and a fitted waistline with pleats and buttons.

You could probably guess which shoes Middleton donned before even looking at a photo of her entire outfit. She teamed the summer-friendly frock with her all-time favorite Castañer espadrilles, laced up to perfection (i.e., twice around the ankle with a bow tie at the front).

The finishing touches included a pair of petal drop earrings from Accessorize London that ring in at a super-affordable $15, her signature bouncy, shiny waves, and a no-makeup makeup look you can bet she'll be opting for all summer long.

Though it can be quite challenging to nail down a casual yet chic warm-weather ensemble on a budget, Middleton just demonstrated that all you really need are two key pieces (a dress and espadrilles) to take on summer dressing with ease.
