There's been a lot of tweed popping on the street-style scene the past few weeks. And though it's not a traditional warm-weather fabric like linen, eyelet, or cotton — i.e., ones that are slightly more airy and lightweight than those you reach for in the winter — the celeb set is making a strong case for working the woven material into your June through Sept. wardrobe, too. First, it was Jennifer Lopez's tweed Gucci dress that set the sartorial world ablaze, for the sole fact that it was such an unexpected frock of choice to wear in Miami's sweltering temps. And now, it's Miller's metallic mini that has the fashion-obsessed itching to try tweed in summer 2019.
On June 5, Miller was photographed en route to an appearance on Good Morning America, where she talked all about her forthcoming film project, American Woman (set to hit theaters everywhere on June 21). For the occasion, the style icon looked the epitome of summertime elegance in a mini dress that features multi-colored metallic threads and shiny embellishment on the front pockets. It's sleeveless and lands just above the knees, deeming it the perfect warm-weather way to do tweed. Pretty simple, no?
Miller loves a good purse moment, but for the Weds. outing, she chose to go handbag free. A few bracelets dangled on her right wrist, while a pair of Staud wedges (designed with a croc-effect sole, a clear PVC strap, and an open square toe) infused the entire outfit with a dose of summer flair. In case you thought the naked shoe trend was fading, the actor's latest footwear pick is sure to convince you otherwise.
