Spring/Summer 2019 runways declared turmeric as the unexpected color trend of 2019, so now that the season is in full swing, it's time for this bold hue to shine. Diving head-first into the craze with a monochromatic orange outfit on Thurs., Gabrielle Union proved she isn't afraid of this sunny section of the color wheel. When you see her elevated take, you won't be either.

The America's Got Talent judge just took a page from Gigi Hadid's style book with her latest orange-on-orange look. Immediately after Pantone announced its 2019 color of the year as Living Coral in early Dec., the supermodel wore more orange in one outfit (eyeshadow included) than you've probably dared to wear in your entire life.

It was abundantly clear months ago that this sunshiny tangerine hue would be the summer's primary color scheme and Gabrielle Union just confirmed it furthermore. The actor attended the Heart Breakfast at Global Radio Studios in London wearing the chicest version of monochromatic orange you'll see all year.

Her Rosie Assoulin separates — from the Spring 2019 Ready-To-Wear collection — included a double-breasted, belt-adorned vest and matching bloomer pants. Union sported the set with baby-blue Chloe Gosselin heels, a bronzed cheek, and that bob haircut she recently got in natural curls.

She was pretty much the epitome of warm-weather chic, thanks to her daring display of this summer's most popular shade. Fendi, Hermes, Valentino, Stella McCartney, and Peter Petov are just some of the designers who sent their models down the runway in head-to-toe orange during fashion week last fall.

Though the color is innately edgy because of its intensity, Union's latest look is proof that it can be worked into a sophisticated wardrobe, too. Her ensemble is immensely colorful without being too loud, a perfectly subtle example of monochromatic orange that you should be recreating ASAP.
