Daylight savings is just a month away, which means longer, brighter days are right around the corner. In the meantime, you can get a head start on forthcoming spring trends and combat gray skies by introducing more vibrant, cheerful hues into your wardrobe. Neon pinks and greens were all over the runways in Sept., but Gigi Hadid's orange skirt and matching top are proof that a new eye-catching hue might be set to take over.

The model stepped out for Maybelline's New York Fashion Week party at the Public Hotel on Sat., and her monochrome look was so energetic. The sunny outfit served as an unexpected pick for a nighttime bash, but as usual, Hadid made it work with an edgy bun and cheerful demeanor.

This isn't the first time the beauty mogul has reached for items from the tangerine color family. Last Dec., Hadid proved the statement hue is definitely for her, even matching her bright eyeshadow to an orange trench and trousers.

This time around, the 23-year-old opted for a leather maxi skirt with an unexpected staple of yesteryear: the polo tee shirt. Could it be that the early 2000s favorite is making a comeback? If the model's look is any indication of what's to come for spring, it might be time to unpack your style stash from the early aughts and give the polo another go. Hadid finished the unique look off with metallic strappy sandals, a footwear style that's bound to dominate sidewalks this spring.
