Where To Shop The Dress Trend EmRata & Bella Hadid Keep Wearing

As New York Fashion Week comes to a close, Emily Ratajkowski's blazer dress may take the cake for my favorite street style moment of the week. While the season has bore witness to a handful of fall-friendly trends (to wit: matching suits, snakeskin boots, and a '70s color palette), Ratajkowski's latest look has convinced me of two things. Not only does a tailored jacket moonlight as the perfect mini dress, but it's the one piece my closet is lacking.

Ratajkowski was photographed in New York City on Tuesday in a belted jacket dress by LPA. Like the majority of her off-duty outfits, the model paired the striped dress with cat-eye sunglasses, oversized gold hoops, and the perfect, layered assortment of necklaces.

Playing up the sophistication of a blazer, Ratajkowski coordinated the hardware on her embossed purse with a large gold watch. But staying true to her laid-back aesthetic, the model topped off the look with a pair of bright-white sneakers. Although cold-weather dressing has officially commenced, the 27-year-old beat NYC's humid heat with rolled-up sleeves and bare legs.

With a reasonable price tag ($198) and a weighted fabric perfect for fall, Ratajkowski's blazer dress feels is a home run.

Ratajkowski isn't the only model making a case for blazer dresses. In between shows on Monday, Bella Hadid was photographed in a belted jacket dress by Fendi. Hadid prepared for the city's rainy forecast by pairing the jacket with sheer tights, socks, and booties. The model also broke out a black wool hat and her signature square sunglasses.

Royals are getting in on the trend, too. In late August, Meghan Markle's mini tuxedo dress made immediate headlines — the short hemline and her bare legs were considered a particularly risky ensemble for a member of the royal family.

The best part about experimenting with the blazer-dress trend is that it's actually incredibly wearable. Whether you're opting for a pair of sneakers or throwing on tights and boots, a tailored-jacket dress is a no-brainer outfit you can rely on as the weather turns. Did I mention that blazer dresses are a two-for-one? You can wear it as a dress and as an oversized jacket.
