While quick and easy award-show beauty looks tend to surprise audiences with their simplicity, there's something about a glamorous, luxe regimen that screams "red carpet." A smoky eye, luminous skin, and a glossy lip were all essential components of Elisabeth Moss' 2019 Golden Globes makeup routine, but the best part is that emulating her lavish look at home is totally doable when armed with the correct product list. Thanks to inside tips from her makeup artist, Daniel Martin, you can recreate her dramatic style with ease.

UPDATE: This post was amended to include exclusive info from Martin.

Moss attended the Golden Globes on Sun. evening wearing a look that strayed from her usual red carpet aesthetic. In the past, the actor has opted for ultra-feminine gowns complete with floral designs, embellishments, and structured A-line hems. This time around, Moss decided upon an edgy mini dress by Christian Dior Haute Couture, extravagant diamond jewelry, and a wavy updo.

Although her fashion choice read unique and modern, it was her makeup look that acted as a finishing touch to steal the show. Martin kept Moss' look completely consistent by using a lengthy collection of Dior products to achieve her soft glow. Nominated for her role in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale, Moss walked the carpet looking as elegant as ever.

"Sharon Tate was my makeup inspiration," Martin tells TZR. "We exchanged images of the look from my Pinterest page and then the execution started! And I'd describe the look as timeless with an edge. The lashes were custom done and the shadows applied using my finger so there’s a bit of a deconstructed element to it."

The artist explains that eyes were definitely his focus for the evening, especially since he gave the star a monochromatic lip and eye in reds and tangerine hues for the 2018 Emmys. "And since her dress was short for the Globes, we went with a sexier vibe with a sultry plum and violet smoky eye," he explains.

If you're ready to explore the entire product breakdown from Martin himself, you're in luck. Ahead, find the items you'll need to mirror Moss' glam.

Like any photo-ready beauty look, Martin started by establishing an immaculate-looking complexion. Instead of going in with foundation right off the bat, he prepped her skin using a water-based lotion, followed by a toning serum. Once his client was hydrated and glowing, Martin used a primer to ensure his work would stay put all night long. He then applied foundation and concealer, finishing it off by adding a soft, rosy blush to the apples of her cheeks.

According to Martin, the inspiration behind Moss' eye makeup was "a diffused sparkly eye." He used his finger to apply shadow in an effort to "create depth without looking heavy in certain lighting," he notes. "I use my fingers especially on the eyes when I’m not really sure where I’m going creatively with the look. It’s an easier process to remove with a makeup wipe afterwards."

This "new way of creating drama, without looking overly dramatic" is just as stunning as it is simple. When you purchase Dior's versatile eye palette, you'll have everything you need to create Moss' look in a compact container that's easy to throw in your purse for touch-ups.

Lips

Instead of a matte lipstick, Martin used a berry-toned, hydrating gloss to enhance Moss' natural lip color. This formula keeps lips moisturized and plump while infusing the right amount of long-lasting color. After she leaves the chair, Martin only leaves her with "blot papers and her lip so I have to make sure to use longwear formulas before she takes off for the carpet," he says. "She doesn't want to be bothered for touch-ups, so I need to make sure it’s going to last all night long."
