Kate Bosworth Is Obsessed With This Unconventional Eyeshadow Shade

@hungvanngo

Nobody pulls off that sunshiny summer beauty look better than a beach-bred style icon like Kate Bosworth. The Blue Crush actor relies on one trusty trick to elevate almost every one of her fearless outfits and it's one that continues to skirt by unnoticed time after time. Believe it or not, orange eyeshadow is Kate Bosworth's best-kept secret.

You can always count on the actor to bring the inspo wherever she goes. Her daring style has seeped into every aspect of her aesthetic — even (and especially) her eye makeup. And there's one color in particular that Bosworth can't get enough of.

Even during the winter, you can expect to see the 36-year-old with a swipe of cheery tangerine on her lids. Why orange, you ask? As it turns out, this summery hue could actually be the most underrated shade in your makeup palette, guaranteed to make your eyes pop every time.

There's no better opportunity to try it, either, considering this bright coral color just made Pantone's annual Color of the Year. Jennifer Lopez and Gigi Hadid were quick to sport the trendy hue, ultimately breaking that unspoken rule that says you can't wear orange in the winter. According to your favorite fashion girls, now you can.

Don't wait to recreate Bosworth's go-to orange eye makeup look. Ahead, four of The Zoe Report's favorite moments.

Fuchsia & Orange

In Jan., celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff gave Bosworth the most enviable spring makeup for a luncheon celebrating Jason Wu's Spring 2019 collection. The actor's subtle peachy eyeshadow was made even better with a vibrant hot-pink pout and rosy cheeks, altogether a perfect match for Bosworth's cheery floral t-shirt dress.

Sparkly Finish

Hung Vanngo is another one of Bosworth's (and Bella Hadid's and Emily Ratajkowski's ... ) go-to makeup artists. For the 2018 Critics Choice Awards, he complemented the actor's all-white lace gown with a bold beauty look. This time, her orange lids had a pop of sparkle and Vanngo matched them with a rich red lip.

All-Over Wash

Bosworth's look was straight out of a fairytale during Vanity Fair's Oscars Party in 2018. Her orange eye makeup was extra noticeable not just because the actor's slicked-back ponytail called attention to it, but also because Dubroff brought the shadow all the way up to her brows.

Orange On Orange

The CFDA Fashion Awards in 2017 called for a full-blown summer look complete with a yellow strappy dress, bronzed makeup, and a tangerine lip to match her signature orange lids. Often times, Bosworth balances out the orange with a contrasting red or pink lip, but this time, the actor went all in.
