Don't lose steam. Just because your ideal November night is one spent on your couch, doesn't mean you have to quit your social obligations altogether. With holiday shindigs and autumnal weddings to attend, maybe all you need is a bit of inspiration to jumpstart your seasonal night-out looks. It's better to plan your holiday party outfits early, so you can get ahead of the end-of-year trends and add a celebratory spin to your wardrobe.

While there will always be a spot in your closet for a classic LBD, consider switching out your go-to fall party outfit for something a bit more statement-making. "Partywear is particularly popular in the lead-up to the holiday season," explains Celenie Seidel, e-tailer Farfetch's Senior Women's Editor. "The Farfetch shopper is loving metallics, animal print, and bold '80s shoulders." These of-the-moment trends aren't exactly made for minimalists, but since the season calls for bolder ensembles, you can embrace each of the trends as wholly as you feel comfortable, there's no need to arrive in head-to-toe sequin if it's not your thing.

If you're looking for an easy way to refresh your dressed-up looks, but don't want to rival the disco ball as the centerpiece of a given room, consider adding on a new statement-making accessory. Brands like Jennifer Behr and Amina Muaddi are ideal for the instant bit of sparkle, but can still be worn with sleek suiting or even jeans. If you're more inclined to celebrate the holidays in an outfit that spells it all out, crystal-laden labels like Area can help you transform. Below, see Seidel's suggestions for this holiday season based on the top sellers and on-the-rise newbies on Farfetch right now. Happy shopping.

Statement Accessories

It doesn't take a ball gown or head-to-toe sequins to stand out. 'There is an embrace of statement hats and hair accessories," Seidel explains. She adds that Jennifer Behr is "owning the space at the moment" as a particularly popular brand on-site for statement headbands, clips, and barrettes. A LBD paired with a pearly bauble hits the seasonal sweet spot as just festive enough.

Killer Outerwear

For the times before and after the party when you're stuck outside, you'll want to make sure you're armed with outerwear that looks just as good as your inside outfit. Stand Studio and Bottega Veneta are both favorites highlighted be Seidel. Look for a furry style in a bright color or eye-catching print like leopard.

High-Shine Shoes

"With party season on the horizon, Amina Muaddi’s coveted ultra-glam heels have seen great success," says Seidel. While she adds that Manolo Blahnik is worthy of a spot in minimalist's closets, sparklier styles are ideal for the holidays.

Party Dresses

If the dresses already sitting in your closet don't hit the spot, Seidel names a number of emerging dress brands picking up steam at Farfetch that are particularly good for party season. Rotate "the new Danish brand everyone is after" and AREA "for lovers of crystal embellishment" top her list of labels to keep an eye out for this year.
