It's not every day that you're blessed with a Sarah Jessica Parker street-style sighting. In fact, the last time the Sex and the City icon was spotted out and about was a little over one month ago — on June 25, to be exact — while attending an event at the newly-opened Hudson Yards in Manhattan. Four weeks and two days later, SJP is back to cure your blues with an exceptionally-good summer outfit. Enter, Sarah Jessica Parker's printed maxi dress, which is unlike anything you've seen before.

Of course, SJP is no stranger to one-of-kind getups. She, much like her on-screen character, Carrie Bradshaw, is known for her distinctly unique ensembles that inspire everyone — even those who are not quite as keen to trying out new trends — to step outside of their comfort zone. Wearing colored tights? Parker has that down. And how about a sparkly outerwear piece? Yep, you can bet she's got Bradshaw-approved piece hanging in her closet right now.

Now, Parker has made another convincing case for maximalist dressing, stepping out in sunny NYC, wearing a warm-weather look that's bold in the best ways (not to mention hits on several of-the-moment trends). Did you really expect anything else from this seasoned tastemaker, though?

On July 25, SJP was photographed in Tribeca, with a book in hand, wearing a floor-length maxi dress covered in a poppy pink and black motif. But the distinctive pattern wasn't even the best part about it — the detailing was. Boasting super-puffy sleeves, a smocked waist, and a tiered, ruffled hem, Parker's dress could not have felt more au courant for summer 2019.

Parker added some extra height (and a bit of glitz) with her shoes of choice: gold Mary Jane heels with a crystal buckle, likely from her footwear label, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker.

The finishing touches? Aviator sunglasses for a bit of cool-girl edge and stacks and stacks of necklaces. One piece of SJP's neck candy hailed from fine-jewelry label Luisa Alexander and is dubbed the Heart Shaped Topaz Chain Necklace, while another was a Stargazer Zodiac necklace from Spell & The Gypsy Collective. She slung a crisp white tote bag over her shoulder, and sported long, loose waves that blew effortlessly in the wind.

Ahead, The Zoe Report rounded up a handful of Parker-inspired maxi dresses, perfect for every summer activity on your calendar. Shop them, below.
