Forecasts have been sitting pretty in the mid-70s during New York Fashion Week Spring 2020, but attendees have made it perfectly clear that they're prepared for a stylish foray into fall. With the re-emergence of the leather trench and knee-high cowboy boots, fashion trends are headed for autumn, and beauty is following suit. Lucy Hale's dark lipstick was a moody signal toward the season ahead, proving that the Pretty Little Liars star is definitely cut out for a '90s-inspired grunge vibe.

Keeping her face dewy and natural with those signature bushy brows on full display, the 30-year-old actor made a bold impact with a vampy, merlot lip color. Upping the ante with a jet-black bob and snap clips, Hale accented her baby tee, checked skirt, and pointy-toed boots with just the right amount of grunge glam. The monochromatic look made black hearts sing, prompting onlookers to have Siri play "Smells Like Teen Spirit," stat.

After wearing ruffly polka-dots just days before at the Jason Wu show, Hale was clearly in the mood to cross over to the dark side, totally nailing a look your average New Yorker can definitely get behind.
