Bad hair days are inevitable, no matter your length, color, or texture. Luckily, there's an easy fix for this age-old dilemma that doesn't call for products, heat tools, or hours on end in front of the mirror. Lucy's Hale's black hat is not only the ultimate solution to a bad hair day, it's also a stylish addition to any simple look.

Hale was photographed while out in Los Angles on Weds. wearing an errand-running look that was equal parts laid back and put together. The actor tucked in a form-fitting white turtleneck into a pair of high-waisted jeans with a straight-leg silhouette and a cut-off hem. While her look was far from complicated, her accessories worked to take it to the next level.

The 29-year-old added a pair of black leather loafers, round-framed sunglasses, and effortlessly slung a luxe, two-toned Chanel bag over one shoulder. What really set this low-key look apart, though, was a black fiddler cap by Hat Attack. Just as easy to throw on as a baseball cap yet loads more stylish, Hale's hat added the perfect cool-girl element to her ensemble. The best part? The actor's smart accessory may look expensive, but it's actually $115.

This isn't Hale's first time experimenting with the retro-inspired trend. The 29-year-old sported a similar hat in April, once again with a coffee in hand. That time, she opted for a baggy gray t-shirt, a bold pair of jeans with a multi-colored hem, and thin hoop earrings.

The actor dressed up her look in a pair of black leather boots and sunglasses, proving you can wear the accessory with just about anything you have hanging in your closet.

If you've worn out your coziest black beanie or you're sick of a traditional baseball hat, this newsboy-style cap will be your new favorite accessory. Just like Hale so effortlessly demonstrated, you can wear it with your hair down or pulled back, with boots or sneakers, t-shirts or turtlenecks — the styling options are endless.
