It may only be August, but Lea Michele is already gearing up for fall with her latest hair transformation. The actor stopped by West Hollywood boutique Nine Zero One on Weds. to freshen up her locks ahead of an upcoming movie project — and the subtle makeover couldn't have been more perfect for fall. Brunettes, get ready to request Michele's new hair color at your upcoming salon appointment — it's that good.

There's been a slight lull in any major celebrity hair transformation as of late. The most recent change was courtesy of model-of-the-moment Bella Hadid, who debuted a drastic new look on Instagram a few weeks ago. (She went from dirty-blonde to a very blonde hue that resembled that of her older sister, Gigi's). Michele's dye job, however, is far less dramatic than Hadid's, but it does prove the power of a subtle color adjustment.

As per usual, Michele's fresh hair color debuted on Instagram on Weds. The actor posed in front of the salon's famous photo wall — a background that so many famous faces have stood in front of — looking like sun-kissed perfection with her "Golden Glow" tresses.

Michele's hair is definitely a bit lighter than her usual brunette base, but it wasn't quite as bright as the "Sunlight Brunette" shade Nikki Lee gave her in the spring. In other words, it's the ideal hue that easily transitions into fall, and according to Lee, the mastermind behind the actor's updated color, that's exactly what she was going for.

"We took Lea fuller, care free, with a golden glow for a holiday movie she’s shooting in Hawaii," Lee shared in a press release. "We wanted it to feel like something she could wear on vacation in the winter. [We're] obsessed with this look moving into fall," she added.

Considering Michele will be on set in Hawaii, Lee also outlined a handful of products she gave the actor to keep her tresses moisturized.

Lee called out the new In Common haircare line, which includes the Clear Haze Universal Shampoo, the Mojave Rain Moisturizing Enhancer, and the Velvet Cloud Mask — a trio that works to infuse hair with essential moisturizing ingredients, leaving it silky smooth and extra-shiny.
