Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's baby news on Mon. morning, Kate Middleton shared a sweet reaction to Meghan Markle's pregnancy. Middleton and Markle have spent a lot of time together since the Suits actor joined the family in May, from joint engagements with their husbands to one-on-one outings (remember their day at Wimbledon?). According to Kensington Palace, Middleton and Prince William are both "delighted" that Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child.

The Palace announced on Oct. 15 that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will welcome their first child next spring. "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019," the statement read. "Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."

The news means that Middleton and Prince William's children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — will have a new cousin come spring. The new royal baby won't affect George, Charlotte, and Louis' line of succession, but will bump Prince Andrew from seventh place.

Although Markle's schedule has been chock full of royal engagements since joining the family in May, there's a chance the public will see less of her following the birth of her first child. If Markle chooses to follow in Middleton's footsteps, she may take some time off from the public eye.

After giving birth to her third child, Louis, in July, Middleton took a well-deserved break from public engagements. Other than Prince Louis' christening in July, Middleton chose to forgo a handful of events. The Duchess of Cambridge returned from maternity leave on Oct. 2. (a new haircut in tow).

Over the course of two weeks, Middleton has visited the Sayers Croft Trust Forest School and Wildlife Garden, attended the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit, and stopped by the Victoria and Albert Museum. She, of course, attended Princess Eugenie's wedding on Oct. 12.

Middleton isn't the only family member that's excited about Markle's pregnancy. The baby will be the first grandchild for Doria Ragland, Markle's mother. "Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild," Kensington Palace confirmed.

Fashion-obsessives should prepare to take notes from Markle's closet in the months to come. Just like Middleton did with her collection of perfect maternity dresses and coats, it's likely that Markle will amend her style as she gets closer to her due date. Considering Markle has made a handful of risks with her closet in recent weeks (read: pantsuits and blazer dresses), there's a good chance Markle will weave in a few unexpected pieces.

In the meantime, the Duchess of Sussex will definitely bring her A-game to her and Prince Harry's royal tour this week — whether her iconic mini blazer dress will make an appearance remains.
