If you’ve ever attempted to shop for intimates, you know it’s not always an easy task. The options are often limited, and it can be difficult to know where what you’re buying is coming from. That’s not the case with these new eco-friendly intimates. Kala, a new underwear brand, is launching its first line on Sept. 24 with simple, sustainable pieces that have affordable prices to boot.

Made with recyclable materials, every piece in Kala’s new collection (which ranges from $30-$80) is created sustainably. But although being friendly to the earth is a core factor in the brand’s products, that’s not the only reason the line came about. Kala’s founder, Rebecca Migirov, came up with the idea for the brand when she was unable to find bathing suit tops in her size, and it blossomed from there.

Kala’s new line is a tightly edited collection of simple essentials you’ll actually want to wear. The Classic bra, which runs for $65, is a triangle bralette with mesh side panels for extra breathability. The brand also offers three different styles of underwear to match, which include cheeky, bikini, and thongs styles, all of which are $30 each.

With its products, Kala also offers a unique sizing structure so that every person is able to find a product in their size no matter what. In terms of design, if you prefer your undergarments to be made as minimal as possible, you’re in luck — each item comes in five solid hues and is created with 95 percent organic cotton and five percent spandex for a very no-frills piece.

When it comes to sustainability, Kala puts it at the forefront of each item it produces. When making each piece, the brand focuses on using materials that are both biodegradable and recyclable. Additionally, all of Kala’s fabrics are sourced from certified eco-friendly suppliers. Everything from the brand is also made in New York or New Jersey to reduce environmental waste that comes from shipping products from overseas.

If you've been searching for sustainable underwear, the wait is over. The new line of eco-friendly intimates is available to shop now on Kala's website, so head there now or shop the products below to stock up on bras, bikinis, and more underthings that do good for the earth (and still look cute).
