Rihanna's 2019 Diamond Ball look is the gift that keeps on giving. The singer, fashion mogul, and all-around trendsetter stepped out to her charity gala — an annual event benefiting the Clara Lionel Foundation — in an exaggerated mermaid-shaped Givenchy Haute Couture gown and, of course, a full face of Fenty Beauty. And while there are many sartorial lessons to be gleaned from the look (and high-neck black dresses to be added to your autumnal shopping list), perhaps the most timely is how to use Fenty Beauty's new brow product à la Rihanna's own team.

Released Aug. 23, Fenty Beauty's new Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil & Styler has made waves since its debut — undoubtedly due to its 14-shade selection and unique paddle brush. It's a product that may seem a bit daunting at first: There's no spoolie brush included, something customary in the current brow market.

However, its paddle brush is just as handy, and may even be the tool missing from your makeup bag; something you can see by glancing at Rihanna's Diamond Ball brows. Fenty Beauty Global Makeup Artist Priscilla Ono used the Brow MVP Ultra Fine Brow Pencil & Styler in "Dark Brown" to define and fill in Rihanna's arches, then flipped it over to the paddle brush end to carefully comb through the product, blending the color seamlessly.

Of course, this came after Ono applied a layer of the Pro Filt'r Mattifying Primer and created a base using the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (in the shade "320"). After both foundation and brows were in place, Ono used the Moroccan Spice Eyeshadow Palette — dipping into both matte and shimmer shades — and the Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner in "Cuz I’m Black" to create the subtle cat-eye.

Ono finished with a touch of Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in "Mo’ Hunny", the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick in "Ma'Damn", and Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder in "Cashew" and "Banana" to blend and brighten the entire look. Finally, Ono swept on Invisimatte Blotting Powder, and Rihanna was red-carpet ready.
