Few outfits are quite as important as the one you choose to wear while cuddled up in the living room with loved ones, cradling a warm beverage, a heaping bowl of leftover stuffing in your lap. Emma Roberts' striped sweater and flared jeans outfit is a prime example of holiday style done right, as the actor showcased on Instagram on Sat. afternoon. Unusually, Southern California saw scattered showers all week, so it's no surprise the L.A. cool-girl jumped at the opportunity to throw on some extra layers, and she reached for a particularly groovy piece of knitwear.

The 27-year-old actor made a nod to the '70s with the v-neck striped sweater, which also offered a hint of modern drama with its structural balloon sleeves. A statement piece by Zimmerman, the sweater offered Roberts' outfit a polished yet laid-back aesthetic. Aside from the added texture, nothing says fall like the deep jewel tones of maroon and gold woven throughout the sweater.

Determined to savor the mild L.A. temps for all they're worth, Roberts topped off the seasonal outfit with a beige beret, which slouched to the side of her undone blonde bob. The actor pulled the cozy look together with an understated necklace, crop flare jeans, and a crystal glass of champagne, naturally.

To finish off the cozy but polished seasonal look, the American Horror Story star reached for a pair of statement white boots by Vagabond for one final, trend-forward pop. Roberts isn't the only Hollywood It-girl opting for ivory footwear this season, with everyone from Emily Ratakjowski to Alessandra Ambrosio giving the retro style a whirl.

The best thing about Vagabond, the Swedish-based shoe brand celebrities are obsessed with, is that they provide quality leather goods at a fraction of designer prices. Roberts is no stranger to the brand, either, opting for the same white pair a few weeks back in Oct. The actor proved once again just how versatile a pair of fall boots can be.
