Diane Kruger's Earrings At The CFDAs Cost More Than $12,000 — A Piece
In case you were lacking any sort of fashion and beauty inspiration this week, Mon. evening's CFDA Awards red carpet is sure to offer up enough to last you all summer long. From Jennifer Lopez's tangerine two-piece set (which was, by the way, doused in 43,200 crystals) to Bella Hadid's throwback manicure, the attendees of the ceremony pulled out some of the biggest and best stops of the year. The common thread among many of the looks, though? There's was a lot of sparkle and shimmer. And when it came to Diane Kruger's CFDA Awards outfit, that particular twinkle came in the form of a pair of earrings that likely costs more than your car.
Kruger walked the annual CFDA red carpet in a striking crimson-hued number from Jason Wu — a designer she's been known to wear time and again, especially for major event outings. The actor's strapless, midi-length dress, which is crafted from a crepe satin, has a structured bodice that's tiered in ruffles and flows into an elegant draped back. What's more, it proves the '90s-inspired slip dresses that have been reigning supreme in the fashion world are still very much a thing.
The 42-year-old actor chose to pair the dress with the red-carpet shoe of the century: Stuart Weitzman's Nudist Sandals that feature barely-there straps and a super-sleek heel. Other celeb fans of this particular shoe silhouette include Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Bella Hadid, Kourtney Kardashian, and Jennifer Aniston, just to name a few.
Kruger's accessories were kept to just a few standout pieces, including a gold box clutch for some added glitz and a pair of 18-karat gold diamond earrings that ring in at a cool $12,250 — a piece. (Yes, you read that correctly.)
Kruger's ear candy is courtesy of New York City-based fine jewelry line, Ana Khouri — a designer whose love of and appreciation for sculptural shapes is very evident in each of her pieces. The actor's earring (singular) is dubbed the Izabel and is encrusted with 1.83-carats of diamonds.
Kruger is wearing one on each ear, which means her CFDA jewels included over 3.5-carats of diamonds and cost a total of $24,500. Almost as much as your car, right?
The actor pulled her blonde locks into a low, slicked-back bun (presumably to show off those impressive earrings) and opted for an intense smoky eye and nude glossy lip. Simply stunning, Kruger.
