Amber Heard’s Sheer Top Is A Surprising (& Genius) Addition To A Black Blazer

Striking the perfect balance between sophisticated and trendy can be a challenge, but Amber Heard's sheer top and blazer combo proves that it's totally possible with a bit of planning. The actor has been making appearances around the globe in honor of her forthcoming film Aquaman, leaving a trail of iconic style moments in her wake. And though every occasion doesn't call for a haute couture swim cap as seen at the film's premiere, Heard has managed to serve a swoon-worthy look at each and every stop.

On Dec. 3, the 32-year-old hit the streets of New York City in a seriously perfect daytime getup. Casually rocking a fitted, see-through top beneath an oversized black blazer, the actor demonstrated how to do daytime chic with a risqué twist. Heard's blazer and sheer top work together in perfect harmony, resulting in a powerful, trend-forward vibe that commands the room.

To further offset the daring layering piece, the actor reached for a distressed pair of Levi's, adding a relaxed touch to the structural jacket and feminine top. Heard finished off the look with black patent leather pumps, which paired perfectly with the cuffed denim. The style star didn't stop at the sharp, shiny footwear. Going for gold in the accessories department, Heard styled the look with a Celine crossbody bag, layered necklaces, and an array of earrings.

Even though the outfit is eye-catching enough on its own, the blond bombshell still managed to score a home run in terms of its beauty counterparts. With her locks swept into a voluminous, face-framing twist, Heard was clearly going for a retro aesthetic when it came to her hair. The makeup look also had a vintage quality to it, with black eyeliner and bright-red lipstick to accompany her smile.

Although a mesh top may seem a bit too bold for daytime wear, Heard proves that all it takes is a sharp blazer and your go-to jeans to tone it down. If you don't already have the necessary items to achieve this outfit formula in your closet, The Zoe Report rounded up some quality staples to try out the look ASAP.
