Fall's approach brings one fashion onslaught in particular time after time, year after year: the boots. Slowly, as autumn approaches and the air starts to cool, each New Arrivals page on your favorite retailer's website will begin offering more boot styles than you can wrap your head around. Knee-high boots. Chelsea boots. Every variation of black boot you can imagine. With this in mind, it's vital to begin your shopping strategy now; and this means choosing which of the new 2019 boots to invest in before autumn (and autumn-inspired indecision) even arrives.

That said, a few of the newest designer boots have already been ushered into the limelight. Alexander Wang is on it this year, releasing a multitude of sleek styles — such as the Mascha Knee High Boot. Retailing for a cool $750, the new boot has had its celebrity debut via Kendall Jenner, who paired the glossy leather style with an equally shiny dress and shades. It's easy to see why the boot has instantly caught the fashionista's eye, as well; clock the on-trend square toe, block heel, and subtly western metal hardware. (Even better, the fitted knee-high silhouette also makes it the perfect companion for shorter hemlines, breezy or not.)

Not all designers went tall and dark this season, though. If you're looking for your day-to-day designer boot, take a look at the Gucci Marmont Fringed Logo-Embellished Leather Ankle Boots, a new arrival on Net-a-Porter's website. While it's also available in black, the creamy beige colorway is light and airy, and will work with any '70s-inspired oranges, reds, and golds that have found their way into your wardrobe. Additionally, the iconic Gucci logo gives the $1,250 boot just enough logomania to catch a few eyes without going overboard.

However, you may be looking for your perfect attention-grabbing statement boot — whether that be Prada's latest chunky design or something even more unique (paging Marine Serre). Ahead, nine new boots you can invest in now that'll carry you through fall, winter, and seasons to come.
