No doubt that when the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve, you want to be looking great. After all, the moment that happens an entirely new decade begins, and you'll be setting the tone for the next ten years of your life. But that doesn't mean you're looking to spend hours agonizing in front of the bathroom mirror as you try to pull off a seemingly impossible look you found via a beauty YouTuber tutorial (she claimed it'd be easy!). Instead, take inspiration from some of the most stunning celebrities and their savvy makeup artists and opt for one of these actually easy New Year's Eve makeup ideas. You'll be ready for a glass of champagne in a flash.

Sure, celebs have the pleasure of working with some of the industry's best and brightest makeup artists when they step out to an event or get photographed for magazines, but just because they're constantly looking super-glam doesn't mean the looks they're rocking are overwrought. In fact, oftentimes their go-to artists will use just one product across their face, or create huge impact with one bold color on the lips or eyes. Basically, beauty doesn't have to be complicated.

And the same can be said for your makeup look on New Year's Eve — make things easy on yourself by recreating one of these simple celeb looks below. You're still guaranteed to dazzle, trust.

Muted Monochrome

Patrick Ta created this look on Madelaine Petsch using products from his own Monochrome Moment collection to develop a simple, but striking glow across her whole face. And because he used the same product on both cheeks and eyes, the look couldn't be easier for you to recreate. Swipe a peachy pink shade (he used Patrick Ta Beauty's "She's Seductive" on Petsch) to enhance your cheekbones and build the same color on your lids before a quick flash of black liquid liner — then apply a coordinating lip color like Ta's She's Confident on your pout. Pro tip: If you want to turn a satin lipstick matte, tap some translucent powder on top. The best part is, this makeup vibe can easily go from day to night so you don't have to build in significant time in front of the mirror before your big night out.

Sexy Red Lip

Can't imagine ringing in 2020 without a New Year's kiss? Stack the cards in your favor by accentuating your pout with a pretty shock of bold red color. Patrick Ta ever so subtly over-lined Adriana Lima's lips with a red hot shade for fuller looking lips, then slicked on a matching matte red lipstick (you'll do best with a longwear liquid formula that'll stay put 'til the clock strikes midnight). The makeup artist kept the rest of Lima's face ultra fresh, with a healthy flush of color on the cheeks and a subtly pearlescent wash of silvery white on the eyes. Some mascara on the upper lashes, and you'll be good to go.

Bold Winged Eyeliner

Frequent Kardashian-Jenner makeup artist Mary Phillips brought the mod look back (with a modern edge) on Kim Kardashian by creating a bold winged cat eye. She drew a striking, thick line from the inner corner of Kardashian's eye across her lash line and then flicked it out for a telltale feline look, and emphasized the eyes further with super-long lashes on top and fluffy lashes on bottom. Some cool taupes and browns were worked into Kardashian's crease for a moody vibe, and her face and lips were kept in the same neutral color family.

A Hint of Sparkle

When Laura Harrier walked the Met Gala red carpet (in Louis Vuitton no less) she worked with celebrity makeup artist Dana Delaney to nail a statement-making beauty look. And though impactful, it'd be surprisingly easy to recreate for New Year's Eve. Secure some sparkly rhinestones and skin-safe adhesive, and apply a stone along your lower lash line in the center of each eye. Some subtle eyeliner, a swipe of mascara, and a clear gloss on the lips complete the look.

Bright Eyes & Burgundy Lip

If there were ever a night to break outdated beauty rules, it'd be on New Year's Eve as you ready yourself for a new year. So, make like Priyanka Chopra and accentuate both eyes and lips for the festive occasion. She worked with makeup artist Uday Shirali to nail the look, combining a shining, luminous eye with a bold matte burgundy lip. The trick to recreating a similar vibe? Use a light hand, so nothing comes off too heavy or overdone. Swipe a sheer liquid shadow over lids (paying special attention to inner corners for a wide-awake appearance), then slick on a matte lipstick in the rich wine hue. Pair the bold beauty look with a sleek NYE outfit and fun accessories.

Fresh Faced With A Bold Eye

Want a look captivating enough to compete with the midnight fireworks show — with minimal effort? Get inspired by Monika Blunder's work on January Jones, which combines fresh, dewy skin with a wash of bold blue shadow on the eyes. You can recreate the look for yourself with a luminous highlighter applied on all the high points of your face (cheekbones, nose, brow bones, center of the forehead, and cupid's bow) for an ethereal lit-from-within glow, and a denim blue satin shadow blended onto just your upper lids. Finish off with a peachy gloss or lip oil on your pout.
