Fixer Upper Is Ending After This Season And We’re Sobbing

As if we needed another reason to be over 2017, our fave TV couple Chip and Joanna Gaines just announced that the upcoming season of Fixer Upper will be the last. Chip and Jo’s home makeovers are the stuff HGTV dreams are made of, and we honestly don’t know how the network will ever be the same.

The couple put out a joint statement on their blog, writing, “It is with both sadness and expectation that we share the news that season five of Fixer Upper will be our last. While we are confident that this is the right choice for us, it has for sure not been an easy one to come to terms with. Our family has grown up alongside yours, and we have felt you rooting us on from the other side of the screen. How bittersweet to say goodbye to the very thing that introduced us all in the first place.” No, you’re crying.

“We are really, really proud of season five,” they said. “We laid it all on the field and didn’t hold anything back. We think it’s the perfect finale to this amazing journey we’ve been on.”

The fifth (and final) season starts in November.
