Rachel Zoe’s Fashion Week Style, Day 8

Before our EIC Rachel Zoe jetted out of town, we photographed 7 of the absurdly awesome outfits she put together to wear throughout the beautiful madness that is New York Fashion Week. Of course the ensembles hit every note: They’re sophisticated, beautiful, edgy and—above all—glamorous. We will reveal them one at a time over the next week, and at the same time help you infuse some of her impossibly cool style into your own wardrobe. Let the fashion games begin!

Day 8: '60s Mod

This polished look is a strong way to finish Fashion Week, as well as a chic travel outfit if London is your next destination (or if you're just heading home). Rachel's mod-inspired ensemble is comprised of a vintage Chanel leather jacket, Victoria Beckham tote, Eric Javits felt hat, Tom Ford sunglasses and Rachel Zoe Collection sandals.

Get The Look: Keep It Minimal

Go for a '60s vibe of minimal elegance. Try a collarless, three-quarter-length-sleeve coat, oversize round sunnies and a handbag in a neutral shade like putty or stone gray. For a pop of color, get a mani-pedi in a mod-esque pale pink.

Day 7: Rachel Zoe Collection Ensemble

We're totally obsessed with this Spring 2015 Rachel Zoe Collection embellished motorcycle jacket! Our EIC styled it for NYFW with Saint Laurent platform wedge boots and a Saint Laurent bag, a Givenchy clutch (which doubles as an organizational pouch), a vintage Chanel necklace and a Hermes bracelet.

Get The Look: Invest In A Motorcycle Jacket

Motorcycle jackets are the It jacket of the season (and pretty much every season, for that matter)—invest in one you'll wear forever or try a less expensive option for a quick fix. Pair the staple with edgy black accessories, your favorite skinny jeans and statement jewelry.

Day 6: Military Inspired Ensemble

While layering jackets is 100% necessary in the bitter cold, it's also proving to be a huge trend at NYFW. RZ will be using this Balmain military blazer as a base layer, styling it with suede Alaia boots, a structured Reed Krakoff tote, Eugenia Kim beanie and oversized Sama sunnies.

Get The Look: Must-Have Military Jacket

Everything military inspired continues to trend (think brass buttons, army green and surplus canvas). A blazer in this style is a great transitional staple: Wear it layered under your coat in cold weather and with your favorite gauzy T-shirt come spring.

Day 5: The Power Uniform

Rachel Zoe's go-to shoe is a bold, over-the-knee platform boot—unsurprising, considering the fancy footwear adds immediate edge to any outfit. In this case, she pairs pristine vintage Chanel belted jacket with Givenchy boots and sunglasses and a tote from The Row for a seriously flawless, head-turning effect.

Get The Look: Buttoned-Up Glam

Invest in a tweed jacket. It's a versatile staple that never goes out of style and works with everything from preppy to polished to edgy pieces. (We love anything that's multipurpose.) Wear a long tweed coat with over-the-knee boots for the ultimate power-lunch outfit.

Day 4: Effortless Sunday Glamour

NYFW doesn't stop for the weekends—like clockwork the shows run every hour, on the hour. As she races around town, Rachel Zoe will be rocking effortless weekend style in this fabulous bundled up look: Burberry monogrammed blanket poncho, vintage Chanel necklace, Ferragamo sunglasses, The Row tote bag, Alaia ankle boots.

Get The Look: Bundle Up In A Blanket Coat

Blanket jackets and ponchos are intrinsically stylish with their natural movement and chic wrapping ability. Wherever your Sunday takes you—brunch, a movie, NYFW—take a cue from RZ and pair your cozy poncho with jaw-dropping jewels and oversized sunnies. Picture perfect!

Day 3: Snow-Day Ensemble

Now this is how a true fashion girl tackles the cold! RZ is prepared for a blizzard with this luxe, not to mention warm, ensemble: Burberry wool coat, Christian Dior one-of-a-kind bag, Christian Louboutin platform heels, Tom Ford sunglasses, vintage pom-pom hat.

Get The Look: Wear Eccentric Pieces Together

When it's freezing, your jacket and accessories are the focal point of your outfit. Have fun with prints and patterns—especially when the weather is bleak, eccentric fashion is the key to brightening the day.

Day 2: Cozy Chic

Dinner by the fireplace at The Waverly Inn requires something chic and cozy: This yummy look checks those boxes and more thanks to an Isabel Marant shearling jacket, Brian Atwood platform booties, a tote bag from The Row, a vintage Versace necklace, Tom Ford sunglasses and a Marc Jacobs cashmere scarf. Now that's a hot date!

Get The Look: Double Up On Playful Faux Fur

Pick a color that suits you for a gorgeous monochromatic look, and then layer a faux-fur vest over a sweater in the same shade. Go for an après ski-meets-Manhattan vibe by pairing bold accessories with playful fur-accented ankle booties. The resulting adorable outfit practically screams for hot toddies and fireside cuddling.

Day 1: Vintage-Chanel Ensemble

This fab outfit epitomizes Rachel Zoe chic: a vintage Chanel belted jacket, vintage Chanel cuff, Casadei patent-leather platform heels, Thierry Lasry sunglasses and a Balenciaga bag. We like to call that a fashion bing, bang, boom.

Get The Look: Statement Jacket + Polished Accessories

Just because you don't own a Chanel jacket doesn't mean you can't put together a similarly elegant ladylike ensemble. Steal Rachel's impeccable style by pairing a statement jacket with polished accessories for a put-together, classic look.
