Kendall Jenner Tried Out The Stunning Trend That Was *Everywhere* During Awards Season
Kendall Jenner's latest look made quite a splash on Thurs. The model traveled over 7000 miles to attend the opening of Tiffany and Co.'s Sydney-based flagship store — and the frock she wore for the special occasion certainly didn't disappoint. In fact, the pink dress Kendall Jenner slipped into for the jeweler's Australian soirée may just be the most striking piece she's worn this year — and it proves the staying power of the color trend that took the 2019 awards season red carpet by storm.
Jenner certainly isn't shy about making a statement on the red carpet. She regularly reaches for perfectly over-the-top, unique frocks that have quickly made her one to watch, especially in the evening wear department. On Thurs., the model took one of this season's biggest color trends out for a spin, stepping out in a bubblegum-hued mini that was as sweet as it was bold.
Jenner's pink silk-taffeta frock, which was plucked straight from Ingie Paris' Spring 2019 collection, featured über-voluminous, ruffled sleeves, and a feathered off-the-shoulder neckline. Ingie Chalhoub, the creative director of Ingie Paris, is known to create dreamy, overtly feminine pieces that combine french flair with red-carpet glamour. Jenner's cocktail dress is perhaps the most perfect example of Chalhoub's signature design approach.
It's no secret that pink gowns dominated the 2019 Oscars red carpet. Everyone from Gemma Chan to Angela Bassett donned candy-colored frocks. Now, Jenner is the latest celeb to rock the sweet shade, proving its here to stay for the long haul.
Color aside, Jenner's mini hits on a handful of other trends making it big in 2019. Opulent feather embellishments have been everywhere this season, whether on shoes (à la Mandy Moore) or handbags. Voluminous puff sleeves of all kinds are also starting to make their mark in the fashion world.
