On this Mother’s Day, it’s important to be thankful for not only the women who brought us into this world, but also for how fortunate we are each and every day. Obviously that is not the case in many places around the world where countless mothers and children are in need. With that in mind, we wanted to shed light on a few organizations making an impact and a difference. Here, a few chic ways you can contribute to less fortunate families across the globe.
Ways You Can Help Make A Difference
South African supermodel Candice Swanepoel collaborated with one of our favorite denim brands, Mother, to create a capsule collection of sweatshirts, T-shirts, jeans and cutoffs. Proceeds from the collection go to Mother2Mother, a nonprofit organization that works to prevent the transmission of HIV from mothers to their babies.

Designer Rebecca Minkoff and Christy Turlington Burns codesigned a diaper bag that benefits Every Mother Counts, a nonprofit organization founded by the supermodel that is dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for mothers everywhere. The nylon Bowie Bag—named for Minkoff's daughter—is a great gift for any new mom.

Buying this printed diaper bag provides micronutrients for a mother and child for one full year. Jessica Alba, founder of The Honest Co. and Lauren Bush, CEO and founder of FEED Projects, are the women behind the collaboration—no wonder the bag is so fab!

Our EIC Rachel Zoe is committed to helping mothers and children everywhere. She is an ambassador for Save The Children, an incredible organization that provides for children during natural disasters and times of crisis. Rachel is also involved with Baby2Baby, a nonprofit that provides low-income children with diapers, clothing and basic necessities. Next time you host a party and request no gifts, put these websites on your invitation so guests can make a donation to these important causes instead.
