With so many bond-building hair treatments, wrinkle-smoothing serums, and pore-blurring foundations hitting virtual and physical shelves daily, brands are working overtime churning out countless innovations. Quite frankly, it’s nearly impossible to decipher which products are worthy of a coveted spot in your routine. For the inaugural TZR Beauty Groundbreakers Awards, we’re spotlighting the year’s most revolutionary products that live up to their lofty promises, along with cutting-edge in-office treatments that top skin care experts turn to for maximum impact with little downtime. Over several months, we enlisted our team of TZR editors, BDG staffers, and a panel of the industry’s top experts — from celebrity hairstylists to renowned dermatologists — to test 397 products for an entire month, then rate them based on ingredient innovation, formula technology, and sustainability initiatives in production and packaging. As the beauty industry continues to evolve and grow, we’re excited to put our seal of approval on a set of products and treatments that are in a league of their own.
