Danielle Kraese is a Senior Commerce Editor at BDG, where she edits and writes shopping content across sites like Bustle, Mic, Elite Daily, and Inverse. Before joining BDG in 2018, she was a Digital Products Coordinator for Penguin Random House, where she had her hand in all things ebook and app related.
Danielle also writes short humor and satire, and her writing has been published by The New Yorker, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, Reductress, The Belladonna, Points in Case, Slackjaw, and Weekly Humorist.
Her cowritten feminist joke book, Jokes To Offend Men, is out now (inspired by the viral McSweeney’s piece “Jokes I’ve Told That My Male Colleagues Didn’t Like”). Vulture named it the #2 comedy book of the year, and New York Magazine classified it as “highbrow brilliant” in its Approval Matrix.
When not writing or editing, Danielle can be found petting other people’s dogs (with permission) and trying to keep all her many plants alive (with varied results).
