Here’s Exactly When You Can Start Shopping Target’s Black Friday 2018 Deals

Target

Taking into account Target's practically unparalleled status as a one-stop shop for everything from everyday home essentials to on-trend fashion pieces, it should be fairly obvious that it's an incredibly popular destination for Black Friday shoppers. When you also factor in the store's countless holiday shopping deals that make sticking to a budget actually feasible, the long lines of frenzied customers make a lot of sense. And if you're considering a trip to the superstore for this year's biggest shopping event, it's time to get prepared. Luckily, the essential information has finally been released, so you can determine when Target's Black Friday 2018 sale starts, what'll be up for grabs, and how you can get in and out of the store with minimal damage to your bank account.

As the year's most infamous shopping day quickly approaches, a frenetic energy begins to fill the air. Pro-level shoppers anticipate the day with excitement, while those who shy away from queuing up for hours at checkout start building up the emotional wherewithal for weeks in advance. But this time around, Target has some good news for all those involved, because the store has announced several notable details that promise to make this Black Friday the best yet.

The down-low on the day of discounts and doorbusters? Shoppers will be able to storm the store beginning at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, and doors will stay open until 1 a.m. on Nov. 23, reopening again at 7 a.m. on Black Friday. Online, the deals will begin as early as Thanksgiving morning — unless you're a Target REDcard holder, in which case you'll be eligible for early access to over 100 of the store's Black Friday deals on Nov. 21 at Target.com.

Now for the good stuff: This year, Target's Black Friday sale will offer hundreds — yes, hundreds — of discounts and special offers on products store-wide, so regardless of what's on your list, you're bound to find several of your must-haves are priced much lower than usual. To streamline the list and discover more enticing deals, double check your regional Target weekly ad. It'll list every single sale item at your local store, so you can plan your mode of attack ahead of time.

Can't miss offers include steep discounts on electronics, like TVs available at under $300, cheap clothes for everyone on your list (Sweaters for $10? Yes, please), and tons of household appliances at a fraction of their usual prices.

Case in point, this Nespresso coffee machine, usually $249.99, will be up for grabs at $124.99 while supplies last on Black Friday. It can brew both coffees and espressos using the brand's wide variety of flavored pods, and comes with a milk frother so you can take your morning caffeine fix to coffee shop-worthy levels.

Or, if you anticipate lots of cooking in your future this holiday season, make the whole ordeal a little easier on you by snagging an Instant Pot Duo 6qt 7-in-1 Pressure Cooker for $69.95. The cooker, which can quickly make rice, stews, steamed veggies, and more, is typically $99.95 — but on top of the savings, Target will also gift you a bonus $10 gift card to the store with your purchase.

Popular Apple products like iPads will also feature prominently in the sale, allowing shoppers to save $80 on all 2018 iPads and $150 on iPad Minis. At those prices, you can chuck in a pair of $159 Airpods headphones, too. Whether you choose to gift them to a loved one or keep them for yourself is up to you (zero judgement, either way).

And if you really can't wrap your head around waiting in a mile-long line to make away with all these great deals, Target's got more good news for you. This year, most items will be available for Order Pickup at your local store, so you can do the shopping online and simply drop by the brick-and-mortar to pick up all your goodies — you can even take advantage of the Drive Up service if inclement weather has you unwilling to leave your car. If you do love the rush of shopping in-store on Black Friday, by all means go, and take advantage of Target's new mobile checkout service. When you're done filling your car, flag down a Target crew member anywhere in the store to complete your purchase.

As a final bonus, anyone who spends $50 or more in store or online, or scans the wallet feature in the Target app while in store on Nov. 23, will instantly receive a 20 percent off coupon for a future shopping trip —just be sure to use the coupon between the dates of Nov. 27 and Dec. 8. Nobody really needed another reason to love Target (the obsession is already real), but the effort is very much appreciated.
