As soon as temperatures dropped to an outerwear-appropriate number in New York City, Sienna Miller's camel coat made a comeback. The fashion community fell hard for Miller's outer layer when she first wore it with slouchy trousers last Oct., and she's since turned it into her cold-weather uniform. Copping Miller's cozy-casual look has never been easier — all you'll need is the perfect, oversized coat.

In Oct. 2017, Miller hopped out of a taxi onto the streets of New York in a cropped black turtleneck with fringe trim and slouchy gray trousers that almost passed as sweatpants. She paired the practical-yet-cool ensemble with Adidas' classic Stan Smith sneakers, an oversized black tote, and — in true Sienna Miller style — a floor-length camel coat.

On Mon., the 36-year-old sported almost exactly the same outfit. She swapped out the gold-embellished belt she wore with the trousers the year before with a white shoestring-like tie. Again, she tucked a sleek black turtleneck into the oversized pleated pants and topped off the look with her favorite fuzzy coat. She carried a black tote — this time one with a white-striped strap — and accessorized with a flat-top fedora. Miller's off-duty getup is your five-step guide to looking polished in a cozy outfit this fall.

The Burnt actor first debuted the coat in 2016 when she layered it over jeans and a light-blue scarf while walking around New York with daughter Marlowe. The brown ankle-grazing number is single-breasted with a slit in the back and white-trim interior. It's the perfect mix between a cozy knit and a polished A-line trench.

Miller alternates the camel coat with one of her other favorites, a double-breasted topcoat in the same sandy palette. She's paired her beige Rag & Bone trench with everything from an elegant LBD to a heather hoodie and lime-green beanie. In the style of her repeated combo, the actor recently layered it over a black t-shirt tucked into plaid trousers.

The trendsetting mom really has her weekend look locked down. And it only takes a handful of basics that are probably already in your closet, including a cozy black sweater, oversized trousers or sweats, white sneakers, a long camel coat, and a leather tote.
