R+Co had a big year in 2019. In February, the haircare brand added a fragrance and brow gel to its lineup; then, it proceeded to continue its foray into becoming a lifestyle brand in October with the launch of body wash, lotion, and even a candle. And now, to finish out the year, R+Co launched Pearl Hair Pins on Dec. 6, its first-ever hair accessories which were created in collaboration with R+Co Collective Member and celebrity hairstylist Ashley Streicher.

The $50 set, which contains a bobby pin and snap pin with a gold finish and pearl accents, is a stylish (if not long overdue) addition to the brand's offerings. Because if anyone has mastered the art of creating cool-girl must haves, it's R+Co. And of course, in 2019 (and 2020, no doubt), no cool-girl look is truly complete without a pearl accessory or two.

Unsurprisingly, Streicher knew exactly how to bring that trend to the R+Co's lineup and make it fit right into the effortless, low-key looks the brand helps its customers create. The hairstylist is the mastermind behind some of the best 'dos from celebrities like Mandy Moore and Kiernan Shipka, and it's easy to picture the oversized pins nestled into nearly any of her loose, wavy creations.

But her preferred way to style the new set? A high-low mix. “I love taking a classic like the pearl and dressing the hair down, creating a cool and edgy look," Streicher tells The Zoe Report in an email. "One of my favorites is putting short hair in a messy half-up French girl bun and securing it with a few of the pearl hair pins.”

Streicher also demonstrated a casual way to style the pins on her Instagram, in case you're looking for a more low-key (but still festive) 'do to wear to your family gatherings this year. Take notes from the hairstylist and pair the pearl accessories with another major trend — scrunchies — and complete the messy bun look with a few of the pins placed above the nape of your neck to add flair and keep any short strands in place.

If you're planning to incorporate the pins into your looks this season, just note that they're limited edition, so they'll be gone before you know it — meaning you should snag them now to ensure they're a part of your festive accessories collection. Keep scrolling to shop them below.
