Queen Letizia and Meghan Markle have quite a bit in common. Aside from the more obvious fact that both are royalty, they also dress very similarly. Sure, the former leans more on the side of traditional with her outfits, while the latter certainly isn't against bending protocol every now and then, but two likeness are simply undeniable when it comes to their wardrobe: These two royals clearly love feminine frocks, and they prefer a more toned-down color palette. That's why is should as no surprise that a similar version of Queen Letizia's denim shirt dress is hanging in Markle's closet right now, too.

Spain's incredibly stylish Queen touched down in Mozambique on Sat. for a two-day visit to learn all about "the work carried out by Spanish Cooperation in Mozambique in the areas of democratic governance, health, nutrition and rural development, as well as the emergency response for those affected by Cyclone Idai," according to a statement from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On April 28, Queen Letizia arrived in Mozambique in style, donning a cotton denim Carolina Herrera midi dress that featured concealed front buttons, a shirt collar, and a detachable waist belt. She topped off her ensemble with suede slingback pumps and a dark-blue leather clutch, also by the Venezuelan fashion designer.

Letizia's frock strikes the ideal balance between casual and refined. The cotton denim fabric gives it a more laid-back feel, while the fitted silhouette (and waist-belt detailing) keeps it put together and polished. And although the Queen went with more formal accessories, it would look just as great with strappy flat sandals or chunky white sneakers.

Versatility aside, there's anther important thing to mention about Letizia's dress — it's very similar to one Markle wore to attend the 2018 Sentebale Polo Cup last July. The duchess' frock, courtesy of Carolina Herrera, had a wrap-style front and a slightly longer silhouette, but the denim material and waist belt are almost identical to the Queen's.

This isn't the first time these two royals shared a similar preference in dresses. In Nov. 2018, Queen Letizia first took a page from Markle's style book, when she stepped out in a plaid frock with a flowing, waterfall-front — the Duchess of Sussex' favorite hemline.
