You have the duchess to thank for bringing a brand-new travel essential to the table. After being in New York City for nearly a week, Her Royal Highness headed back to her UK palace on Weds. to fulfill her royal duties. Meghan Markle's airport style proves that chic carry-ons do exist.

The mom-to-be has been visiting her friends stateside since Fri., with Weds.'s baby shower being the icing on the cake. Amal Clooney, Gayle King, and fashion designer Misha Nonoo were among the reported 15 guests who flooded into The Mark Hotel, where Markle was staying, to spoil her and the baby with gifts.

Then after it was all over, the duchess' entourage packed them all up onto luggage carts and carried them off — along with the royal, herself — to the airport. Markle dressed in the coziest flight-ready outfit consisting of athletic black leggings and a matching zip-up maternity jacket by Ingrid & Isabel.

She kept it comfortable with a pair of black-and-white Adidas sneakers and a black baseball hat. Markle wore a long beige coat over her sporty look and carried her trusty Cuyana Le Sud Weekender along, too.

Although the duchess certainly has more space on her private jet than most do on commercial flights, her bag of choice still makes for a perfect carry-on for royals and commoners alike.

It's your typical travel bag made extra luxe with Turkish leather and matte-gunmetal hardware. The bag is big enough to fit your laptop and all the extras, with plenty of pockets to keep things organized within. Markle's was monogrammed with a little "H," perhaps for Harry.

She's been spotted with Cuyana handbags several times in the past, as have Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, and Jessica Biel. Aptly named The Weekender, this tote in particular was designed for flights — literally. And it's actually pretty affordable, too.

Upgrade your airport style with the duchess' go-to travel bag and others like it, ahead.
